I have travelled to the UK annually for many years. Now it is mainly to visit my nephews and nieces since my sister died two years ago and my mother sixteen years ago. As in the past two years I am going to spend three nights in New York. Hopefully my flight to JFK will not be disrupted by the US government shut down. I then board the Queen Mary II for the seven day Atlantic crossing. I call it a luxury ferry trip that enables one to be able to arrive with no jet lag. I will spend time attending the Canterbury Festival with two nights in London before flying home.
As usual I like to write a Blog and post some photos so that I can remember what I did! I first learned to write a blog when my mother went around the world on a cruise ship when she was 93.
I leave on Tuesday 14th October flying from Victoria to Calgary and JFK New York.
I will post whenever I can but may not have any WiFi on the QMII.
